Cleaning your Dryer Vents
If you feel as though your dryer is not working at the level it should, you should start by taking these steps:
Clean out your lint trap after every load
Make sure that the tubing on the backside of your dryer is clear and free of debris or loose lint.
There are no obstructions to the exhaust coming out of your home (nests, flap that wont open)
If all those precautious are taken and still nothing you may need to do a bit of a deeper clean.
This can be done by purchasing a kit and trying it yourself LintEater® Pro Rotary Dryer Vent Cleaning System at Menards®
If the duct work is longer than 5 feet to the exterior it may take a little more work to get it cleaned out.
Dryer fires can be prevented with the correct maintenance.
